This loud wanna crazy restaurant is amazing. Small simple and delicious. Seafood is outstanding and fresh. The gumbo, red snapper and flouder had no complaints. The oysters and crab cakes were some of the best I've had in the south. It was delicious and well worth the long wait. A must try!

Hunt’s Oyster Bar and Seafood was a fantastic recommendation by my driver. I was in town for work and asked about popular seafood restaurants, so glad I went here. The building is being remodeled on the outside during my visit, but the line gave away the good food inside. The oysters premium are some of the best I’ve had and they shuck them right in front of you. The grouper I got blackened and was fresh and delicious. This is a must if you love seafood.

Our first visit to Hunts even though we’ve been living here for 2 years now. Oh my god, why did we not make it here sooner. The very best grouper tacos we’ve ever had in our lives. Fantastic oysters. Amazing service! Our server was Laurie. Owen was constantly cleaning and such a nice gentleman. Great experience all the way around.

Receptionist from the Rent-A-Car agency at the airport recommended this restaurant, she suspected it may be closed by the time I arrived, but I attempted anyway. it was difficult to find initially because of the construction on the exterior, but there was an employee near the front door who greeted me with a smile and welcomed me in to the restaurant. He mentioned they had modeled the kitchen and were working on a few other things.
Once inside, it appeared to be closing, but the staff made no mention of it. Bar staff and cleaning team recommended some great dinner options. I ordered the Poboy sandwich and Rockefeller oysters.
Food was great. Service was amazing.

Absolutely excellent. A very quaint bar with good character. I had a dozen of the oysters which were so good and then I had grouper cheeks fried with sweet potato fries and okra. Everything was so good. It was a great atmosphere. It was fun to sit at the bar and see all of the activity. I would highly recommend it.
