Unfortunately the park is still in need of a complete overhaul due to Hurricane Michael. From the equipment I saw it looked like this was a great park till the storm.
I saw a couple guys on bikes riding around staring at me the entire time I sat there in my truck looking for another park to go to. It made me feel really uncomfortable so I ended up driving somewhere else. One of them was going in the closed bathrooms with some of their bags so I’m sure it’s not a pretty site in there. I’m guessing this is now a hangout spot for the homeless. Don’t get me wrong I have nothing against homeless people especially here in Panama City with what happened. However without the city doing any clean up at this park and people continuing to use it will just make it go even more downhill.
I hope the city can get more help to those in need and get this place back up to what it once was.

I only rated it one 🌟 due to the fact that hurricane Michael destroyed it. It has nothing to do with people or anything for that matter. Our once beautiful park looks like how many parts of Bay county now look like a bomb went off and destroyed it.

It looked fun 5,4,3 years ago but as of 6-6-23. Theres nothing. When g p s said I Have arrived I looked around and saw a field and nothing else. Just overgrown grass, no way to get in and 2 homeless people out front camping. No sir. 👎

Was looking for a place to take the kid on a walk and play. Looked promising but once we drove up, we didn’t even stop. All the gates were locked and grass was about waist high. There was one person on a bike riding around the paved path but I could see no equipment or anything from the road to enjoy.

Use to be as great park before Hurricane Michael. The trees are destroyed. Awesome walking path and play area for the kids. Has a club house and pavilion with picnic tables. Hope this park gets revived.
