Cute little airport that caters to the panhandle beaches of Florida. Mainly Panama City beach, the surrounding suburbs (St. Andrew’s and Lynn Haven) — as the locals call it, “The Redneck Riviera.”
This airport has a total of 7 gates. A small coffee shop on the land side and 3 coffee and food places on the airside. Staff are quite polite and hospitable like. Lines are seldom long but flights do get delayed and cancelled when there are heavy rains or typhoons. In general, a great local airport that does its job!

Overall, my experience at Northwest Florida Beaches International Airport was positive. While the airport may be small and lack some amenities, such as an airport lounge, the ease of use and convenience of the airport more than made up for it. The short security lines and easy pickup for Uber and Lyft were definite highlights of my visit.
I hope that the airport considers making some updates in the future to enhance the overall traveler experience. Adding an airport lounge would be a great addition for passengers looking for a more comfortable pre-flight experience. Additionally, some upgrades to the facilities and amenities could further improve the airport's appeal.
Despite these potential areas for improvement, I found the cleanliness of the restrooms to be a standout feature of the airport. It may seem like a small detail, but having clean and well-maintained facilities definitely made my visit more enjoyable.
Overall, I would recommend Northwest Florida Beaches International Airport for travelers looking for a convenient and efficient airport option in the area. With a few enhancements, the airport has the potential to become even more appealing to passengers.

I'm writing this during the off season so take that for what it's worth, but I think this is a pretty easy little airport. Small - only a handful of gates - but they've got a place for hot meals, a bar, a basic shop or two. Security was quick and easy for me mid morning on a Monday.
Power outlets in the seats are nice, but a lot of the seats themselves aren't particularly comfortable.
It's only about a ~30 minute drive from the PCB area, which is a good bit closer than VPS.

Absolute chaos!
Arrived to pick up my wife 11am 5/18/24.
ZERO parking places in the short term parking lot, with multiple cars driving round & round.
When I exited the lot the obviously upset attendant suggested I use the cell phone & taxi parking off to the side. Cannot leave the vehicle unattended though!
That was full, with vehicles backed around the circle. A couple of guys peeing off to the side, Long drive, no parking, no rest room available I suppose.
When my wife`s fight arrived from Chicago they had to wait for forty minutes before they could taxi to a gate!
Every lane in front of the terminal full of stopped and waiting vehicles. An airport police officer watching it all!
I walked my wife back to where I could stop on the circle.
Good Bye!
I promise I am not making this up. If you are with the airport, I have given you the date and the time.
I have never seen anything like it, not even in a third world country!

Small, but well designed and maintained. Easy in and out for transportation and passengers.
